WHO ARE WE?
Website Evangelism (www.websiteevangelism.net) is a Christian Internet mission which creates websites for the lost (those without Christ) on topics they are searching for. Like Jesus with the woman at the well, we interact with people on the thing they came searching for, then we lead them to the Gospel and God's plan of salvation (John 4:9-10).
The website you are now visiting is not one of those sites but the Internet mission which creates them. Website Evangelism (this site) is here to (1) provide resources for Christians in their daily witness and (2) to invite them to get involved in using the Internet and the websites we create to reach the lost.
You could put it this way, Website Evangelism is reaching out to Christians so that Christians can reach out to the lost - in everyday life and on the World Wide Web (Luke 14:23).

THE BIG PICTURE - (Note: Matthew 24:14)
To help you see the potential which Website Evangelism has to reach the lost, we invite you to consider what has been happening to just one of the websites created by Website Evangelism. For reasons related to prmotional strategies we'll refer to it as site X. Site X is not the website you are visiting now (you are now on the Website Evangelism site). Site X is a website created by Website Evangelism.
One person emailed the following about site X:
Subject: Praise the Lord!
I came across your site and just wanted to say thank you for what you are doing online. I am an Asst Pastor at my church and I thank God that someone has decided to put the truth out there rather than the entertaining lies that have been posted in the media and online.
May God continue to bless you and prosper you in all that you do
The map below shows visits to site X in a recent 30 day period. The colour blue shows that visitors have come from that country. The darker blue equals more visits. Countries in yellow did not receive visits during this 30 day period. However, some of them did visit outside of the 30 days.

Since site X went live on the Internet in November 2008, it has now reached 196 nations with up to 182 of those visiting site X in one month. It has had
... over 127,000 visits in one month
... over 40,000 visits in one week and
... over 7,000 visits in one day (the last figure = over 2.5 million visits per year).
Many of these visitors are going to the page with the main gospel presentation on it. It's called, "The Good Person Test" and was developed by Ray Comfort a New Zealand evangelist, now resident in the US.
Monthly visits to the Good Person Test from August 2009 are currently averaging over 10,000 which is over 120,000 a year. There are many more pages with biblical content on them which also are visited. Praise God, indications are that people are coming to faith in Christ through this gospel presentation.
The figures below are from the results of a one-question survey that has been on the Good Person Test page for just 32 days. The survey invites people to share "your thoughts" on the Good Person Test after they have completed it.
In a recent survey of those who had done the Good Person
Test in a two month period 1,764 people
responded.
It is important to understand that not everyone who visits this page will do the test and not everyone who does the test will do the survey and all surveys always have a margin of error. However, there is enough information here to encourage us that the gospel is getting out to the nations and having a real impact on people's lives (John 4:36; 1 Corinthians 3:7).
We've given you the BIG PICTURE here but we don't want this to be a "numbers" thing. The figures above represent real people who are being touched by the gospel message and you can read some of their stories further down.
Site X (from which these figures come) is just one site. Other sites are operating and still more are planned. This is only just the beginning.
With your help, we can do so much more.
The really amazing thing is that none of these people were searching for the Good News about Jesus Christ when they entered their search phrase into an Internet search engine like Google! We know this because we use Internet software that tells us the search phrases people used to find the site.
These people simply went to a website on a topic of their interest (a site which the Website Evangelism mission created) and while they were there, they clicked a link to a gospel presentation.
We need your help and God's grace to keep building this mission to seek and save the lost by casting the Gospel net over the Internet. The first step is to sign up as a member of the site (see the "Register" link at the top right under the word Welcome). You can read the rest of this page and others pages first or sign up now. We suggest that you at least read all of this page and the "The Plan" page.
Someone once said, "Find out what God is blessing and do more of it!"
Please, we need your help do more of this!
WHAT IS EVANGELISM?
The word "evangelism" comes from two Greek works: one meaning Good and the other News (Message or Messenger). Evangelism is proclaiming or telling forth the Good News (Mark 16:15) about Jesus death for sinners; showing people why and how they need to be saved and to doing it in biblical way - otherwise, you run the risk of preaching another gospel (Galatians 1:6-7; 2 Corinthians 11:3-4).
You will not find the word "evangelism" in the Bible but you will find "evangelist" (2 Timothy 4:5). When an evangelist evangelises you have EVANGELISM! So, does that mean that if you're not an evangelist then evangelism is not for you. The simple answer is "No".
Telling others the Good News so others can hear and believe (Romans 10:17) is the Privilege, Responsibility (1 Peter 3:15) and Joy of all Christians. If you're not sure how to do this, don't worry, this is part of what this site is all about. Website Evangelism is not just about using the Internet for Evangelism but it is also for equipping Christians to evangelise: to proclaim the gospel biblically, clearly (Colossians 4:4), confidently, boldly and with a great love for the lost. You will find lots of help on the "Resources" page and other pages.
There is some urugency to this because all have sinned (Romans 3:23) and there is a day of judgement (Hebrews 9:27) and according to Jesus, many of the 150,000 who people die every day are going to hell (Matthew 7:13). We need to give them the opportunity to repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15).
OUR BIG PRAYER
Our big prayer is that through Website Evangelism, YOU, and the grace of God, that many will see, many will fear and many will put their trust in the Lord (Psalm 40:3). Below, you will see some examples of how God has graciously used Website Evangelism to touch both the lost and Christians. In his great love for the lost he using all means possible (1 Corinthians 9:22) to draw people to himself (John 6:44) that he might win some becasue he does not wish any to perish (Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 3:9). This is to his glory and the praise of his name.
The following comments are from people who visited site X referred to above.
From someone who had strayed from the Lord.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation, I have just this year returned to God's house and I am trying to be a better Christian. You made me see that I truly need to be aware each and every moment of the day about my actions and you have just impressed on me more that I need to read daily scriptures. Thank you, God Bless You,” Karen

The following is from someone who was confused about the 144,000 in Revelation.
“Thanks for the reply to my queries; nothing you have said is unclear, in fact it is quite lucid. I now understand that I don't have to be part of the chosen Israelites to gain acceptance into Heaven…… Thanks for listening.” Roger

The following is from someone who believes that everyone will be saved and that the lake of fire is a purifying fire through which all unrepentant sinners will pass before going to heaven. This person was told they had been deceived by false doctrine. Here is their response...
“Just a quick reply at this time, but certainly more to come in a few days. Let me thank you for taking the time to read my email and write back. It was truly a joy to receive your comments and a marvelous way in which you treated each line, thought and statement I had written. The reality of just that alone, blessed my soul.” Robert

You might recognise the following. It was written before we had the Internet and email.
“Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that plants any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase. Now he that plants and he that waters are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are laborers together with God: you are God's husbandry, you are God's building.” UNDER THE INSPIRATAION OF GOD (1 Corinthians 3:5-9)
